Today iLike: My Halloween costume

For me Halloween is an opportunity to wear whatever is on my mind. This year i wanted so badly to try on a kuro lolita costume, but couldn't finish it on time (as in i barely even started it). So i went for a kuro lolita meets ballerina costume.
I made a tutu from about 6 m of black tulle and a mini-top hat. I wore them with a black tank top, a black skirt underneath and my lovely mary-janes. And no, my nails weren't black, but red.

We went to DjSnow 10 Years Anniversary@ Suburbia and i danced my tutu off. Lotsa good music. Imma (ballerina) junglist!

Off-topic. I finally changed my hair style. I had the asymmetrical cut for ages and now it's so trendy i couldn't stand it anymore. I'm simply in love with my homemade clean cut. Plus is goes so much better with the lolita look.

The party was.. wow. From the financial point of view not so wow, more like an ouch, but hey, this is only the beginning.
I still can't believe i finally got to meet Lynn. He came with Nick, which was absolutely amazing on stage, i wished his set never ended. They both are such great people and so damn funny, i laughed my ass off during their stay.
Can't wait for them to come again next year, maybe they'll do a stand up comedy act before the show :D I'm sure they could pull it off just fine!

No wisdom is my all-time-favorite and i was fucking blown away when i heard it. The inspiration came from this song called Light from a Dead Star by Lush. I'm in love with the voice, it's very surrealistic.

Today iLike: The MOOod

I heard them last night in Control and they blew my brains out. I had sooo much fun listening to their music despite the poor sound system. I'm gonna become a groupie! :D

I was going to write a long long story about the Mekitburn experience in Vilvoorde, Belgium. But i'm just gonna say it was brilliant. The absolute gorgeous location, the sound, the djs, the big fire in the courtyard, the chillout tent, the waterpipes, the people, they were all perfect. Too bad we couldn't go the second night as well. Some pics below.

For whatever reason, i love Ugg boots. They look (and i guess they are) very comfy and warm. I drooled over a pair of metallic gold Uggs, like the ones in the picture, but unfortunately they were too expensive.

The metallic black one look good as well.

On the other hand i bought some pink (erm... fuchsia) crocs. I'm not a big pink fan, but that electric color looks delicious.

Last, but not least, i bought myself a pair of "back-to-school" Mary Janes from Start Rite. I know they're children shoes, but i love their innocence. I'm glad fall's coming so i can try them on:D.

Speaking of Mary Janes, the paltform shoes from Christian Louboutin are pure pleasure. He's the best shoe designer ever!

I must say that the "Very Prive Pumps" below arel my all-time-favorite shoes.

More from CL on shopstyle. They are pretty darn expensive, but i guess you get some custom made ones at a lower price.

Today iLike: Edinburgh

By far, the most beautiful city i've ever seen. We were there during the fringe festival. Not overwhelmingly crowded, but it felt very "alive".

Got to see the famous Edinburgh Military Tattoo (on pouring rain, covered in some plastic ponchos - thank god for those) and it was simply amazing.

I love anime, duh!
Nu cred ca m-am mai uitat cu asa pasiune la vreun anime in ultimul timp. Foarte Ouran-ish, cu ceva dark parts si vampiri, bineinteles.
Am devorat intr-o zi cele 11 episoade aparute (damn, i hate ongoings!) si m-am apucat sa citesc manga.
Aici este site-ul oficial, pentru vorbitorii de limba japoneza. Descrieri scurte se gasesc pe anidb sau pe AnimePlanet. Manga se gaseste pe OneManga.
De download fie pe hub-uri de anime, gen honmaru sau AHQ de la noi, fie torrents.
Iar pentru mai multe detalii despre fiecare episod (as well as some acid remarks ^__^), go to seiha blog.

Referitor la anime, exista 3 "chestii" la care refuz sa ma uit (fie pentru ca am incercat si n-am reusit sa trec mai departe de primele 2-3 ep, fie pentru ca mi se par stupide pur si simplu): Sailor Moon, Naruto si Bleach.
Poate sunt (a fost, in cazul Sailor moon) la moda, but i couldn't care less.

Foarte de mult, la un party, am vazut o fata care invartea niste... maciuci. Mi s-a parut ciudat, ce-i drept, dar se misca foarte bine. Am aflat mai tarziu ca se numeau poi.
Poi este o forma de dans cu radacini in istoria poporului Maori (Noua Zeelanda) care implica invartitul ritmic al unei perechi de sfori cu mingi la fiecare capat. poifreaks are un articol in care gasesti mai multe detalii.
Sunt nenumarate site-uri de unde poti afla despre poi, inclusiv pe wiki.
HomeOfPoi are si lectii atat pentru incepatori, cat si pentru avansati. Tot aici gasesti si un magazin cu poi si accesorii. Un alt magazin este Firepoi.
Pe juggler (magazin romanesc din Oradea) gasesti un singur model, insa ai avantajul ca sunt din Ro si ca dureaza mai putin sa primesti.
Sunt mai multe tipuri, including fire poi. Mult mai spectaculos, dar si riscul de a te rani e mai mare. Aici niste poze foarte bine facute.
